Demo pals - PAL PlayStation demos

About demo pals

Exactly what is covered here?

All PAL PS1 demos are covered, but the list is of course not complete yet. Some PS2 demos are covered as well, but only OPS2M demos. So far only the German OPS2M demos are covered, and it will be some time before the other sections are ready.

Dear Sir, may I kindly send you an email?

Yes, assuming you are not the scum of the Internet. My email address is pennyroyal_3@yahoo.co.uk.

Disc or sleeve titles?

For most demos, it's pretty straightforward. There's a disc title written in light blue, followed by the SLED/ SCED code and the following (usually seven digits) number as written on the disc. However, it does become messy in the main Euro Demo series, as the same disc, or the same disc-contents but with different disc artwork, come in various packagings in various PAL regions.

Here, if the demo comes with the same black Euro Demo disc as the main title, the sleeve title from for example Spain or Australia will be written in dark blue. If the disc has different artwork, like OPM UK and the later OPM Australia demos, then the disc title will be written in dark blue. The seven/ twelve digits following the SCED code is included after the dark blue titles, and they suggest which demos came with identical or different disc artwork.

Some sleeves come with SCED codes different to those on the discs. These SCED codes from the sleeves are not listed, as they are mostly done in error. The code always refer to the disc.

Game titles

If you're looking for demos containing specific games, you can use your browser's built-in search function (Ctrl+F). However, the game titles are not always accurate. The titles are often written as they appear on the sleeve or in the disc menu, and that may not always be the true game title. As a result, Wipeout 3 is also sometimes called Wip3out, Tomb Raider II maybe be written with a "2" or a "II", Crash Bandicoot 3 may appear with or without the "Warped" title (separated with a ":" or not), sometimes games may be shortened by their initials, sometimes not. Some titles may also be the French, German, or Spanish game titles, but I've tried to translate them as I've spotted them.

Can I has betas... I mean, demos for download?

I'm sorry, but no. I don't have time to rip demos, and I also find ripping discs extremely boring. I have already invested hours in creating this website, and I'm also maintaining a few other websites. I spend too much time on the computer as it is. So please use this site as a guide to what is out there, and hunt them down yourself. It took me just a couple of months to get most of these demos, mostly from eBay UK, Germany, and France, and they weren't particularly expensive. Good luck!

Help!

Image and info submissions are greatly appreciated. All images will be credited, of course. You can find my email address on the front page. Also, I have duplicates of several demos, feel free to contact me and ask if certain demos are for sale. Or to turn it around, maybe I'll be interested in purchasing your old discs?
