Re-release of Silent Hill 2, excluding the "Making of" DVD, but added game features, which is a Maria mini game with new weapons (chinese cleaver and revolver) and new puzzles and one new character, and a sixth ending, the UFO ending. A manual in English only, a Konami advertisement booklet, and a Konami competition paper are included. The same discs have been used for all different European versions, but some regions released the game with inserts in their own language.
"Director's Cut" is the European name for the PS2 re-release. In USA it is "Greatest Hits", and in Japan it is "Saigo Na Uta."
