The first release in Austria and Switzerland was probably the German first edition, intended for release in all German-speaking areas. This was sold in Austria and Switzerland while stock lasted, but when reprints had to be made, a dedicated Austrian and Swiss edition had to be created, because future German pressings would come with new, censored discs.

It came with a manual, a precautions booklet, a double-sided ad for Viewtiful Joe 2 and Killer7, and a Nintendo VIP 24:7 flyer. The manual is the same as the manual which came with the German edition. The discs were probably the new general PAL discs without USK logos, DL-DOL-G4BP-0-EUR-01 and DL-DOL-G4BP-1-EUR-01.
