American budget reissue. It was first released in a case with a Memory Card holder, but later reprinted with identical artwork in a PlayStation branded case without Memory Card holder.

Both these pressings had an address to Capcom Entertainment, Inc. on the back of the manual. An even later pressing had this address changed to Capcom U.S.A., Inc., this pressing was probably only sold as part of the second print of the Resident Evil The Essentials box set.
